I have loved this app for ages but now am unable to access my stored photos with the new iPhone update!

The photo library (camera roll) is missing from the options to choose from. It only includes "Albums". The photo library (camera roll) is not included in "Albums".

In a massive money grab the developer created a new version that nags you to death for a crazy subscription price. The entire interface has been changed and not in a good way. I paid for Pro and no longer have it. I have been using this app since it’s 1st release and it’s gone into the toilet.

I hadn’t used app in quite some time - not sure of the date - but opened it today and was shocked to find no photos saved in the app. I used this as storage over the years and there were hundreds of them, if not a thousand. I’m so bummed. It was off-loaded. I’m hoping someone can help me.

If u still have old copies keep it. Apple should protect us from these rip-off artists using the AppStore!

Yay yay yay! This app has been my go to for mobile photo editing for more than a decade. I use it both as a professional digital artist and for personal photos. They moved to a new app with a subscription model with new features but I didn’t need the new features nor want to pay a subscription. I am so grateful they’ve released this legacy app! I have happily paid them $10 or $20 for their work on this and am so glad to be able to use it again!

They removed iCloud integration from lightbox storage and wiped years of precious memories clean with no warning! So many photos lost! This should equate theft! How does Apple allow this stuff to go on?! Shameful. BEWARE.

camera+ is the original easy to use, simple basic photo app that works for the majority of user to get create the best photos with out complexity. Take a pic, clean it up and make it sparkle with a few click and save the photo. Simply one if the best easy camera apps apps on the market. If you are not a professional photographer and just want simply beautiful pictures with no extra complex hoops to jump through this app is for you. To the app software developers please keep this the Camera+ app up and running why mess with simple perfection.

I’ve had this app nearly 10 years ( ? ) and it is still my go-to for shooting macro flora with my phone. It’s very user-friendly, and takes beautiful pictures that look like they were taken with my Canon. Not sure if this is permissible, but my IG is a_mckean. Every macro there was taken with this app. So, yep. To anyone looking for a simple camera app that’s easy to navigate and create with —give this one a try.

If the app is no longer supported, what exactly am I paying an annual subscription for???

What the heck happened. I didn't update the Legacy app at all and it's up to date but I can no longer use the text Scene properly. It either destroys the documents I take pictures of or it works properly, if I crop the image at all, it destroys the document with severe darks that are blown out. What gives?

I had the original camera plus app (paid) for several years. Suddenly the app requires a subscription (or additional substantial one-time payment) for features I already had in the original app. Their solution was to offer this stripped-down version that doesn’t include the features, such as slow shutter, that the original app had.

These are the same people that created Camera+ and then decided to take everyone’s lifetime unlocks away and try to charge them again. Don’t waste your money on ANY of their products!

Over the years I have purchased Camera+ on two separate occasions because it is one of my most effective and favorite apps. Today after cropping one photo, realized I no longer have the “current” Camera+ but the legacy version and can no longer edit or save a photo. Am fully aware that Camera+ is a business and needs to survive. Disappointed that Camera+ has chosen to almost completely disable my legacy version and render it useless. I will not spend $4.99 per month or purchase the app for $50. Camera+ doesn’t care about my business so will start using the Apple camera and their improved application. Thanks for the memories Camera+.

As I finance professional I understand the need for subscription-based pricing; without it, an app becomes unsustainable for the Dev long term. In its infancy the App Store only had free and one-time-purchase offerings, essentially creating the belief by some users they were entitled to a lifetime subscription, to include maintenance and upgrades, with no further cost. App development is an occupation, and compensation is the motivation that provides further development; without it, a developer’s interest may wane and cause the app to drown in the sea of abandonware we saw in early days. The vast saturation of mobile devices leaves a small handful of first time purchasers, unlike the early days of App Store. That being said… I’ve used Camera+ for many years and noticed it stopped working due to the addition of the subscription model. What I’m confused about is what developer own the app. There appears to be (at least) two Camera+ apps along with an app called Photon but are these by the same developer? Can we get some transparency into the transition and information on whether three apps are supported by the same team (despite having different dev names? I see my comment has already been asked but I’d like to see an answer before committing to an annual sub. I also thought there was a video app that no longer appears in the store.

Hey! I have used Camera+ for years. I’ve enjoyed using this app lately one functionality stopped working. Then just yesterday or today November 8, 2023, none of the features worked and camera plus wanted me to pay a monthly fee or a one-time fee of $49.99. In other words, a one time outright purchase. I then went to the App Store and saw that my original Camera+ was now called camera plus Legacy. It’s still free, but looks completely different than my girlfriends Camera+ Pro app which she paid money for The legacy version of Camera+ looks very different than the camera+ pro. I am not pleased with the sneaky charging that you did. I’m gonna stick with legacy at this time. Please explain yourselves. Thank you.

For still supporting this app. It’s been my go to camera app for many years and continues to be one of the best out there.

Seems like a powerful app. But I just could not figure out how to use it, so I had to stop using it. Very powerful but very complex. There are no instructions o for it, no user manual; no links to such in the app and no manual on the company’s website. I’m going with Halide. At least they have an online manual. They also have a tutorial system.

I usually like this app very much but the last update doesn’t let me use app it just spins

Sad to hear that the new version is subscription model based. I will no longer be using your services, thank you for all those years! I hate subscriptions. It’s such a scam.

I bought Camera+ (and a few filter packs) when you guys launched almost a decade ago. I’m disappointed & annoyed that now you’re no longer updating or supporting the app I purchased. Instead, you're pushing the new version (and monthly subscription) on your original customers instead of updating us for free. ✌🏼 I'll check out some fresh camera apps on the market. Camera+ wasn't that much fun to use anyway.

What a great photo app. I’m sure it does not meet everyone’s needs but buy a professional set up if that’s the case or maybe invest in some aftermarket lenses. The pictures are just crisper, clearer and more vibrant than Apples app. There is a bit of a difference as to where when you’re taking a photo of friends the distance is different than the native camera app. Just recently I’ll open the app and it will intermittently decide not to work. I’m sure they’ll fix it but as you would imagine, it is a bit frustrating.

What about the people that supported you guys from the beginning? You guys rebuilt the app but relaunched under a different name and we just get left out.

A better alternative for lowering the memory size when taking screenshots. Hope there will be updates.

I’ve used this app for years and it performed seamlessly. Now all of a sudden when i frame a photo I’ve cropped, the full photo comes in view. It refuses to let me use the cropped photo. Help a old mate out!

Today May 21, 2022 the app updated supposedly to fix some kind of problem with iOS 12 but now my app will take pictures but when you click on the option to edit the photo or save or send none of those options will work including the save all feature. So I can take a photo but I can’t save it or edit it so the app is useless.

Still supporting our iPhone 5s devices — much thanks to the developer!

I rarely had problems with this app until now. It crashes whenever I open a photo for editing. This is after a recent update. Tumblin’ down to two star

The app worked fine before this latest update on iPhone 6. Now when you open it, the app just crashes. Clearly no testing before providing the recent update.

As you see, I’ve been using this app a long time. Now, version 10.23 that was released on May 15, 2022 crashes everytime the edit brush is pressed while viewing a photo. That edit functionality no longer works! However, if one chooses the edit function while viewing the gallery, that does allow editing. — Update on Sept 25, 2014. Love it!! :) I've shot hundreds of pics with this great app. However there is a long time Facebook sharing bug that now crashes when trying to select or create an album. Would be nice if you added video also! --- just updated to 2.3.1 and now the shutter button doesn't work. Fixed or created bugs???!

Crashed and all the photos I hadn’t saved yet disappeared. Going to take hours to redo my work. I love it otherwise.

I was all set to jump to Camera+ 2 on my iPhone 8+ (ios 15.4), but after reading all the Camera+ 2 “ “known issues,” necessities for workarounds and missing features in the “upgrade,” I think I’ll wait to spend $7.99.

Don’t know what happened, but last phone update l lost all my pictures that were saved in this app! 1 star because it wouldn’t send without any.

I love this app … I’m not a photo expert but I like to take good photos and this app helps me out a lot.

This would normally be a 5 star rating. Never had an issue with this app, now all of a sudden the pictures don’t upload to my camera roll after I edit them. What’s the use if I can’t use the filter of chose? I see I’m not the only one having this issue!
